No mirror in the room

The location is awesome. The room is large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shared kitchen is well equipped and there is even a washing machine to do a bit of laundry if you have been travelling for a while. The room has two lovely big windows and you can hang your washing on lines outside the windows. The wifi is good. You need to walk to the 4th floor up stairs but there are light switches on each floor to light your way. The entrance space inside the door from the street is large in case you need to wait for a taxi with bags.

Shared shower could do with a deep clean and the door hinges could do with some oil.

The location is prime, and probably the best part of the place.

Few things. First two separate times, once at around 3pm and once at around 10pm we tried to take showers and were left with only cold water. We hoped that by 10, since it was out of hot water already at 3, it would recuperate. However, this was not the case. I would have appreciated a warning that the building does not have enough hot water to use.

The property is centrally located just a hop skip away from the famous Tram 28 station. Except Alfama, all the major city attractions and neighborhoods are at walking distance. The property has 5 - 7 rooms and 2 shared bathrooms, which we always found to be clean and there was no noise or disturbance. The kitchen even when not very well stocked, had all the amenities and enough utensils / dishes if you want to cook.

The property has a steep 3 flight of stairs up and if you are carrying heavy luggage it would be a real effort to trudge it along.
