Studio in Hilo Center with Pool and Lake Views

Location and the condo was very clean.

Condo was on the first floor. Someone tried to break in through the lanai while we were sleeping. The lanai glass doors were not secure enough. You can pull the doors apart about 1/2 centimeter, large enough opening to stick something through and unhook the wooden doors inside. I yelled out when I watch the latch get unhooked after hearing some fiddling outside at 6:00am while it was still pitch black outside. Scared the suspect and heard them curse and run away. I think they thought the unit was unoccupied. My daughter and I were there and it was a very scary experience. The lanai door need to be secured better so the doors cannot be cracked open by pulling apart and a hook closure inside was too easy to unhook.

Great location right next to the beautiful lake. Condo was well equipped, and the bed was comfortable. The host Vivian answered all our requests right away.

Great location in Hilo. Close to water and local attractions. Perfect for adventures north and south along the coast. Nicely upgraded/renovated spacious studio. Streaming TV and fast wi-fi were appreciated. Pool view from the patio was nice.

No complaints. Accommodations were perfect for 2 people.

Location was very, very convenient. If you fly into the airport - drive straight out, cross main street. Go up a block or two, make a right, make a left. You are there. Want to see Liliuokalani Park - drive out of complex, 2nd intersection make a left and drive about a mile and you reach it. Very close to downtown. Easy to hit the road up to the volcano. Apartment is very clean. Has a nice lanai space with a table looking out at the pool. Apartment has a lockable heavy duty screen door so you can open the main door and slide the doors to the lanai open to get cross ventilation. Has both a ceiling fan and an oscillating tower fan in the apartment to help get the air moving as well. I felt safe enough in the complex to sleep with the sliding doors open. Apartment has a full size oven and induction range. Plus a microwave. I only cooked a couple things so I didn't really look at all the pots and pans, but with a good size refrigerator and the over/stove you could easily take care of a lot of your meals without needing to go out to eat.
