Sara Glen Motel - Saratoga Springs-Glens Falls

This motel is quite far from the Saratoga Race Track, about a 20 minute car ride. The price I paid for 2 nights was $200 too much. After I booked it and you couldn’t cancel it as it got too close to the stay, they reduced the price $200! I also noticed Traverse weekend is even cheaper than what I paid, and I stayed the weekend of August 8th and 9th when it wasn’t in high demand. I definitely was taken advantage of.

Quiet Rooms - Ranch style so no upstairs or down stairs neighbors/guests. Location, Location, Location - half-way between Lake George and Saratoga, minutes from Highway, grocery stores, minutes from restaurants and roadside ice-cream shoppes, Disc Golf at the town park 5 minutes away with a number of other course with in a 15 minute drive. State parks are close too. Friendly Helpful staff. Plenty of Parking, lots of green space and public sitting areas. Cozy room with Microwave, coffee, small refrigerator, sitting table with chairs - perfect set up for a weekend mixed with groceries and eating out locally. Great AC and comfortable beds. Park just outside of the room for convenient get up an go. Quiet rooms explained- I never heard a door shut (hotel or car) no Tv or people talking sounds - had a neighbor on either side of me that I never heard. Safe and secure - no real foot traffic or stores for .5 of a mile so zero activity - the people I saw were working or staying there. My second stay - in September 2024 - you can add great air flow though the room when cool enough to sleep with the windows open. If you want to support a small business, stay in a motel with classic feel that is convenient to the activities in this area - consider staying here. I will be stating here next summer during my visit to the area.

not much that I did not like; the structure of the facilities do not have the capability to offer you breakfast. There is not really any room for a pool.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a quick one night stay so the price was great for the area.

The ice machine in the main office was locked up in the early evening.

The host/owner was fantastic. Very clean and well-kept motel. Great location.

It was very very expensive for this type of accommodation, but there were not less expensive options that we could find.

The gentleman at check-in was very nice and answered all of my questions. He gave me directions to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and helpful hints to avoid traffic so we could get back to the motel. The SPAC is about 20-25 mins from the motel, which isn't bad for the area. The room was cozy, quiet, and very clean. In the room there was a menu for a local restaurant for breakfast items with reasonable prices. Location to the highway and gas stations was convenient. The beds were clean and made up nicely. The room overall was very nice for a last-minute motel reservation. (Pictures were taken after we unmade the beds.)

We have no complaints.
