Vu's Homestay

Not the homestay experience we expected Vu’s Homestay has a great central location and a nice pool. Our room was spacious, but the stay didn’t match what we expected — or what was advertised. The room was listed as soundproof, but it definitely wasn’t. We could clearly hear loud music from the bar next door and everything happening in the neighbouring room. The restaurant had a large whiteboard menu but wasn’t serving food. Staff were rarely present, and we didn’t feel particularly welcome — more like we were in the way. It felt like the owners might have been away. Overall, it didn’t align with the recent reviews we’d read or the usual warm homestay vibe. If you need a pool and central location, it might work. But for us, it was a disappointing stay.

Spacious rooms, clean and fresh swimming pool. I couldn't expect more for only $10 per night.

My bathroom with the glass-made roof is next to an apartment block. It wold be very inconvenient for women.

The woman wasn't interested in giving information except for selling tours (where I expect she makes money). Every question I asked was met with: 'just Google it'. "How was the weather yesterday?" "Google it"- and that was the attitude throughout. No free tea coffee and lemonade like others mentioned. No restaurant - it's closed for public only open for locals or friends it seemed. A/C doesn't work well Shame because some of the accommodation is really nice.

Great value for money for a couple of nights stay. Lovely staff. Clean.

Karaoke bar is very close and you could hear it through the whole night. We were woken up by people getting in at 2am. The room had a rather damp smell to it and the WiFi was very bad.

Bed was very comfortable. Great location. Easy to rent motorbike and organize bus out of the city. Very clean. Nice pool. Considering the price, this is amazing value.

Wifi in room was spotty at best. Check-in was rushed and at times communication was difficult.

Nice and spacious double rooms with very comfortable beds. Good location for activities, friendly staff. The pool is also great. You can get breakfast here, and book tours, busses etc. Great value for the price
