B&B Palazzo Sant'Alfano

They were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The location was an excellent and central location to see all of the many things that Catania has to offer. I loved being able to see people at the top of Sant'Agatha while having a coffee on the balcony!

The location is in the very heart of Catania. Room is spacious and super clean.

The location was good but it is very loud with music below until about 1:00am so it was very difficult to sleep.

Great central location. Clean room, comfortable bed, and great air conditioning. Hostess was very nice and attentive.

Despite the central location, the room we were in sits right above a restaurant/bar with loud music (sometimes even live music that is even louder) every day untial after midnight. This made sleeping very difficult and close to impossible, even while wearing the sponge eraplugs provided by the hosts.

Spacious room, modern bathroom, great air con, little balcony over central square. Unique art installations and typical Italian breakfast . Catania is a lively, busy city and if you want to embrace that then this is a great spot.

Smell of smoke around apartment but not in our room. Toilet tissue issue like Greece. Very loud music and bar noise till 1 am .

The hosting was excellent and we were so thoughtfully looked after. It was about as centrally located to the tourist attractions as you could get. It was also great to have breakfast every morning just steps down the hall. It also wasn’t too long a walk to the train station. We enjoyed having one of the rooms with a terrace overlooking the courtyard as it was quieter in the evening.

We liked the central location, but that came with the price of Sat night activities and the square outside is loud. We liked it but some people may not. Earplugs were supplied. Our host was extremely responsive with help on how to park and how to get to the property. Remember English is not her first language but she did very well. She also provided a wonderful continental breakfast with special gluten free options. The room was comfortable and had everything you need. Very clean as well. She was very pleasant and sweet

First of all be prepared this is not easy to find as it’s in a pedestrian zone so no parking nearby we had to go to a municipal guarded parking garage and we took a Uber to the B&B. The doorbell is difficult to discern and it’s best to call her to come down to open the large door. This is not a hotel and if you have big bags be prepared to carry them up the stairs. It is the back of a few restaurants as well so there are the staff smoking cigs and the bins there. Also Mt Etna had just erupted a few days before so everywhere was covered in volcanic ash- there is a reason Catania is called the Black City.

The location is great. Chiara was very sweet and accommodating.

With great locations comes noise. The windows and shutters block out a fair bit and earplugs can be found on the night tables but expect music til 2am. Despite that, we slept well.
