Luxurious & modern on-the-beach family retreat

Beautiful sea views. Great facilities. Stunning property. Lovely wood burning stove, decor and location. Would happily book again. Owner was very communicative and accommodating

The water pressure is low in the upstairs shower. Having to switch over for the shower is a bit of a nuisance. So only one shower can be used at once.

The location obviously, but the lovely design and quality of the accommodation. The ever changing view made it a memorable stay.

Comfortable, stylish and modern home with breathtaking views and direct beach access. Contains everything you need for a great stay, they really have thought of everything. We will definitely be back!

Nothing

The location was idyllic. Multigenerational holiday, we could sit in the garden and watch the children safely on the beach. Waking to the call of wild birds and watching them when the tide was out was amazing. Property had everything we needed and would want. Even had barn shallows nesting in the porch. The English coast path is accessible. We walked from Boulmer to Alnmouth a couple of times and the path to Craster is also good

As we did have great weather ot did make it a bit hard to stay as cool as we would have liked as the upstairs rooms have dorma windows and the downstairs bedroom has only one window - perhaps a fan could have helped?

Fantastic location. Property has been tastefully refurbished to a very high standard. Right on the beech. Just perfect

The position is so lovely, with ever changing views. A great space for a large family with dogs, very well equipped, a well planned space. We received a lovely basket of goodies on arrival. A great pub nearby and super place to explore the rest of the area. Great communication.

You can’t be too tall for the top rooms but that was fine for us.

Great location to visit other local villages and a wonderful view of the sea. Lovely path down to the beach with outdoor seating was a bonus. The house decor was lovely and cosy. Really practical layout. Hosts were fantastic and left a nice starter hamper with milk, bread etc, which was good after a four hour trip! Really clean inside too. With necessary products to clean up after yourself. We could tell a lot of care and attention and has gone into this lovely home.

The heating in the front upstairs bedroom and bedroom with bunk beds didn’t warm up as much as other rooms, and back upstairs bedroom ended up too hot. Can only use one shower at a time (which we knew before visiting), but did delay getting everyone ready in a morning.

The location is excellent. Loved being by the sea. The shoreline changes day by day which is lovely and the sky was amazing. Great walks from the house and lots to do in the surrounding area. We love this area. The house itself was very clean and we loved the decor. The hosts have very nice taste in interior design ♥️

There were 8 of us and 2 dogs and I’d say the kitchen and bathrooms were not quite adequate for that number of people ( esp as you can only use one shower at a time due to an issue with power). It would have been nice to try the pub but they don’t welcome dogs so we didn’t manage this time. One of the neighbours was rather unpleasant in a victor victor Meldrew kind of way ( clearly doesn’t like dogs or perhaps even people 😂) although clearly this is not something the hosts can have any control over.
