Casa Yeé Lo Beé Mazunte

My experience was a nightmare.

I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to stay elsewhere. This was one of the most disturbing and unacceptable hotel experiences I have ever had. What happened goes far beyond poor service and raises serious concerns about guest safety, property, and basic legality. I booked and fully paid for a seven night stay and was an active, registered guest throughout (Room 2). On the third day of my stay, after leaving the property for approximately two hours, I returned to find another couple actively showering in my assigned room. Without my knowledge or consent, hotel staff had entered my occupied room, removed all of my personal belongings, and given the room to new guests. My items were packed hastily and carelessly, with clothing, toiletries, soap, toothpaste, and personal effects thrown into my suitcase and left unattended in the lobby. This alone is alarming. Removing a guest’s personal property from an occupied room without authorization raises serious legal and safety concerns. The hotel later admitted this was an internal mistake. However, instead of taking responsibility, staff attempted to blame Booking by claiming overbooking. Neither the hotel nor Booking has accepted responsibility. As a direct result of the hotel’s actions, I was left completely without accommodation. No immediate or adequate solution was offered. I waited several hours and ultimately only secured a room (that was dirty, with used towels, and trash still in the bin. The cleaning later refused to provide new towels the following day) because I personally negotiated with other arriving guests and convinced them to leave (to stay at the owner’s private apartment, as I was not comfortable with that.). Had I not intervened, I would have had no place to stay that night. The hotel repeatedly attempted to move me to the owner’s personal apartment located approximately 20 minutes away, which I refused. This is not a legal or acceptable substitute for a paid hotel stay.

Location, good communal space

It was noisy at night, we lost power (due to no fault of their own) and had no water our last night. The wifi didn’t work for us at all during our stay

My issue was the lack of communication and information. When we arrived, you need to go into the gym to get the key (this isn't clear). The guy in the gym gave us the wifi details for the gym (not correct). We tried to explain to him that it wouldn't reach upstairs, given the distance. He gave us another gym network, that didn't work either. This whole time he was messaging someone else, so I asked for that person's details to ask them direct myself. He didn't respond for nearly 24 hours. When I chased, he tried to tell me it was the internet in the area. Which can be the case, but wasn't because my phone wifi was working. So paying £150 for three nights, with no internet isn't value.
