Yellow House Hostel B&B

The hostel was awesome, staff was awesome. The have a small terrace behind my room that was awesome to chill and drink a happy hour Vicky. Was a nice, chilles, and quiet last couple of days after two months in Antigua. Oh! I loved the fact that they constantly keep cleaning the property!

Absolutely nothing

Yellow House provided a solid home-base for exploring Antigua. My room was as advertised with a private bathroom. The location is convenient.

The location was great and very central to Antigua. The staff were kind, and the breakfast was good.

My room was right next to the bathroom, and the walls were very thin so you could hear every noise of people in the hotel. The started a huge construction project on the other side of my room that was extremely noisy.

A comfortable, cozy hostel that's well-located for a five minute walk to the city centre, but far enough away to be quiet at night. Communal areas were kept spotless by the staff throughout the day. I especially appreciated the front desk staff - Brian and Alex were very helpful and kind, even after I checked out. I was able to store my luggage here while I hiked Acatenango and then use their shower facilities upon my return. Life savers!

Nice breakfast, spacious rooms

Do NOT book any services through them. I organized a private Acatenango tour through them, paying a significant premium, and they put us in a group tour with no English guide. The tour was still nice so I tried to get the refund for the difference between the group rate and the private rate and they said they would absolutely do it. But it was a lie, they were just stalling until I left the country and then they blocked me. It's really disappointing because my stay was otherwise okay, but lying and theft of nearly $200 is hard to look past.
