Cosy Arts & Crafts Cottage with stunning views

The cottage's very clean, beautifully decorated interior, blending rustic and modern elements, made it feel very comfortable and welcoming. The highlight, however, was the stunning view from the windows that greeted us in the morning. This location strikes a perfect balance between serenity and convenience, but what truly made our stay exceptional was the owner's exceptional hospitality. We've never scored a 10 out of 10, but Helen went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and provided valuable support during uncertain times, along with local recommendations. Her warmth and accommodating nature made this experience unforgettable This cottage is a hidden gem that offers comfort, beauty, and relaxation. We can't wait to return and make more cherished memories in this tranquil retreat. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a memorable getaway!

The cottage has storage heaters which we've personally never got on with, but it still felt warm on arrival, despite arriving very late. There is an option to put the log burner on if it gets cold, or use the blankets which are available. Thankfully the heaters were all set up and we had no need for the fire or the blankets. So not a dislike, more that it's not something we're used to.

Location was great. Close to Brecon and easy to travel around the Brecon Beacons. The house had everything you'd need for a stay away. Kitchen facilities were great and lots of space to chill out; inside the house & outside in the garden. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back.

The welcoming, homely feel, the views and the location of the Cottage are excellent. As soon as you walk in, you feel as if you have entered your own house - its better actually as it is tidy! All facilities were spotlessly clean and quite new. Everything worked excellently and there was a huge pack of instructions. The local OS maps were most appreciated. Whilst we had not met the host, we were able to txt and always got very friendly and helpful responses. The downstairs toilet was very useful indeed. Everything was furnished very tastefully and the kitchen was comfortable. We arrived in a torrential downpour, but as soon as you closed the door behind you, you were cosy, warm and "at home". The basket with the welcome gifts and the blackboard message was a very nice personal touch. The beds are very comfy. Parking is fine, there is room for 2 cars after a steep ascent to the drive. Finally, the views are spectacular and if the weather clears, Brecon Beacon is visible in touching distance.

Very cute cottage with enough stuff in kitchen to be self sufficient. Quaint property in a quiet countryside location. Limited phone reception but internet was fast and made it possible to work remotely as needed. While cottagey it has been refurbished so it isn’t all drafts and creaking - we really enjoyed our stay.

Back yard was as advertised is contained though smaller and great to have a safe option for our young dog. We had thought dog walking would be easier in the area but country roads are tighter - nothing at all to do with the house. Dogs requested to stay downstairs in request so be aware of that - again not a major issue for us but to note.

It was beautiful- attention to detail was perfect.

Land line mobile reception inside wasn’t good so had to go outside to make a landline call

A really beautiful cottage with everything you need for a short break or a longer stay. Well equipped, spotlessly clean and stunning views. Perfect location for exploring and access to Penyfan and Bike Park Wales. A real little gem!

No complaints it was perfect.

I liked everything. The communication with the host, the location , the welcome pack and the beautiful 'feel' of the cottage, especially the silence...........There were little home comforts that made it feel very special. It was absolutely perfect for our walking weekend in Brecon.

Gorgeous cottage, warm cosy and clean. Right on the door step of the Brecons but also short drive to town. Helen left us a lovely welcome basket and was easy to communicate with. Cottage has everything you need for short stay.
