Santos Gem II - Central Space in Trendy Neighborhood

The keys were in a lockbox. But the key did not fit the lock well so I had to stay outside for several minutes every time to try to unlock the door, wondering when it would work. This was a horrible experience not knowing when I would be able to get inside.

Our stay was horrible and what made it worse was the owner would not take accountability or issue refund. Looks great in photos but a poor renovation with a horrible owner. Shower and toilet not even sealed. I could see the underboards at the base of the toilet. No wonder why bugs are getting in. Ants everywhere and owner said we just had to deal with it because it's a basement unit. They sent someone to mop but I didn't see the ant traps that I requested. Ants came back every day. I also saw in a review for the property next door they also own that there were cockroaches. The review prior to my stay here mentioned leaking shower handle and washer. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking these things would be fixed by then but they weren't. Water all over the kitchen floor from the washer and owner claimed they were unaware even though it was mentioned in their last review. The place is also very humid, as others have mentioned. The one fan and the one dehumidifier were no help. It could have been made better if the owner would have just given us at least a 50% refund as requested and take accountability but they refused. Booking.com was also no help, refusing to refund and only gave a $50 booking credit that I will never use. Booking said they've gotten complaints on this property before but still hasn't taken them off this platform.
