"A tranquil getaway."

The property provided us with a tranquil getaway which far removed us from everyday life. The cottage was comfortable, clean and cozy. On the colder evening we were able to enjoy some time in front of the fireplace and on the sunnier days we were able to take the short walk down to the river. Janice was incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

"Gorgeous cottage. Good base for visiting the Midlands."

The location next to a river is amazing with the morning mist adding a sense of dreaminess to the place. Our hosts, Janice and Don, were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was lovely, very clean and the fireplace added wonderful warmth. We slept in a gorgeous bed, cocooned from the outside chill. They got it right. We felt as though they really cared about making sure we're comfortable. The restaurant, owned by Don is walking-distance from the cottage. It's authentic, no frills and wonderful pizza combinations ensured we returned every evening. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a little peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of daily life without having to give up any comforts.

"A wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for a place to stay while meandering in the midlands."

Janice was a great host, she was very warm and friendly. She provided tea/coffee and firewood to make our stay more comfortable. The cottage was clean and cozy.

The property was not as private as we expected. The owners house is very close by and the two bedroom apartment that we stayed in is adjoined to an additional smaller unit. However that did not impede our stay at all.

"Very comfortable weekend stay-with friendly hosts."

Lovely setting - gardens and surrounds. Walking distance to a great authentic pizza restaurant.

We weren’t in the property much over the weekend, however a TV and Wifi was missed by the family-but it is lovely to get away and not having the luxury of Wifi and TV!

The place is beautiful and neatly kept. The scenery is beautiful . The host is friendly and so are her stuff

Was just bothered by the fact that when it's loadshedding the whole cottage does not have water??? And could at least have a TV or Radio because it can really get frustrating sometimes
