The Annex, stunning Abbey Views across the fields

Everything, location, stunning views, cosy, clean accommodation with fabulous log burner, friendly owners, who stopped for a chat, and we didn't know chickens could be so entertaining!

Absolutely nothing to dislike!

I stood on the carpet grips. And cut one of my toes. Shower cubicle to small.

The view and surrounding are excellent. Will go again.

A lovely cosy cottage feel with lots of amenities provided to make the stay comfortable. Clean and tidy and a wonderful location walking distance to the Abbey and Whitby

Lovely, cosy and quiet.

Location was good, an easy walk into Whitby along the coastal path. The space was nice, very quiet and the chooks (chickens/roosters), the goats were rather sweet. Very basic kitchen set up - could do with a bread knife and some mixing/microwave bowls would also be a good addition. It didn’t effect us but it’s worth noting that the stair well is rather steep and narrow.

There is no where to sit and enjoy the advertised “stunning” view which was rather disappointing.

Very pleasant stay. Good location. Well equipped. Very entertaining hens! Easy to walk to the abbey and into Whitby or to the lighthouse. Stairs could be a challenge for elderly and less mobile but got used to them. Great stay but a couple of minor things - not dislikes but need attention - two of the lightbulbs needed replacing in lounge area and a bit too dark to read easily; hot water fine in shower but no hot water in basin; could have done with a bread knife.

Internet access intermittent and unavailable for last two days of our stay. Would have been far better to have printed information for visitors to the property and not on the Internet!!

The mattress on the bed. Could feel the springs. So uncomfortable especially after a day walking. Unable to connect to the Internet, only through a hot-spot.
