The Loft at Pen Orchard

Great location for exploring and so peaceful. Lovely spacious accommodation with a great view. Comfortable bed. I think the lemon drizzle cake was the best I've ever tried! Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Downstairs toilet. However, I was very impressed with the auto lighting on the stairs to light the way when I got up in the night.

THE PROPERTY WAS VERY CLEAN, LIGHT AND AIRY. AS THE NAME IMPLIES, WE WERE MAINLY ON THE FIRST FLOOR, SO HAD GREAT VIEWS OF THE GARDEN AND THE NEIGHBOURS ALPACAS, WHICH WAS FUN. SARAH HAD LEFT ONE OF HER HOMEMADE LEMON DRIZZLE CAKES FOR US, WHICH WAS DELICIOUS. THERE WAS TEA, COFFEE, SUGAR & MILK FOR WHEN WE ARRIVED. IN THE FRIDGE THERE WAS ALSO SOME THATCHERS CIDER WHICH IS MADE 2 MILES AWAY IN SANDFORD. A LOVELY TOUCH. NICE BIG SHOWER UNIT AND FLUFFY TOWELS.

LEAVING! WISH WE'D HAD MORE TIME IT'S A LOVELY AREA WITH LOTS TO DO.

The lovely tranquil setting and beautiful surrounding countryside. The visiting alpacas every morning. The excellent hospitality offered by the host. The comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well equipped. The added extras provided by the host including a home-baked cake, bottles of cider etc.

The loft was sparkling clean and everything felt like very good quality. Sarah left us an amazing cake and some other goodies in the fridge. The location was peaceful and we enjoyed hearing the birds and sheep outside and seeing the llamas down the garden.

Lack of a wardrobe

The view from the Juliet balcony is amazing, especially catching a rare sight of the alpacas down the end of the garden. The facilities provided are good and we loved the homemade lemon drizzle cake, thanks Sarah (at least I did - my wife is gluten intolerant - but I loved it). Even when it was humid outside, it was still very cool in the house. Loved that the check-in was straight forward and it was great to meet Don. The free cider was great, and although we didn't get to use the free bottle of milk, we very much appreciated the thought. Love the large shower cubical and the large bed was great.

Everything. Wonderful views, outdoor veranda with bistro table and fairy lights, beautiful decor, super comfortable furnishings, lots of little touches, relaxing and restful atmosphere and lovely hosts. Can't recommend this hidden gem enough.
