Villa Sol y Luna Ocean Front with Private Pool

We are back home and still dreaming about the wonderful memories we made during our vacation at Sol y Luna, Playa Del Secreto, Mexico. Sol y Luna is a beautiful home which fit our family’s needs perfectly. The 7 well-appointed bedrooms with air conditioning and each with their own bathroom were perfect for our group of 8 adults and 10 children (8 yrs old to 4 months old).The large pool area with plenty of places to sit in the sun or shade, the tiki bar, the expansive private beach with palapas with hammocks and lounge chairs, the 3 kayaks and boogie boards available, the game room with the pool table, the roof top area where we could watch the sun set, and the two terraces that offer wonderful ocean breezes, were just some of the wonderful things the house offers. However, what really made our stay in Sol y Luna amazing, was the house staff. We cannot say enough about chef, Ismael, and his assistant Jenaro. They were there to please us in every way possible and worked so so hard to make every meal a culinary experience. They cooked only with fresh ingredients, and went out of their way to provide us with different and delicious meals every night. During our stay, we requested a chocolate cake for my husband’s birthday, a confetti cake for my grandson’s birthday, and a special dessert for our anniversary. We assumed that the chef would buy them at the grocery store but instead the cakes were custom made for us by a friend of Ismael, who is a pastry chef. For our anniversary, Ismael, made from scratch an ice cream cake covered with meringue which he then flambéed to the delight of the kids. Ismael also did the initial food shopping for us and shopped for whatever we needed every day. He kept meticulous records of all he spent and gave us all the receipts of his expenditures. Both Ismael and Jenaro were warm, friendly, welcoming, accommodating, helpful and just wonderful to work with. I cannot praise them enough.
