Solano a 2 bedroom waterside villa in Falmouth

Couldn't get a TV signal. Informed the host in person. It wasn't a problem because we could link all that we wanted to watch via our phones. TV was a SMART TV.

Solano is a slice of paradise in Cornwall. Everything about it is exceptional; the open plan living area is beautiful. Unlike many properties where I've stayed where you get a couple of tiny pans and a colander, the kitchen at Solano had everything you could want, even an electric grill. The beds were really comfortable and the beautifully tiled shower had great water pressure. There was a table with chairs on the balcony where we had our morning coffee and upstairs are lots of Adirondack chairs on the roof deck that overlooks the harbor. The views were incredible with sailboats and swans all over the harbor. Geraldine left us a bottle of bubbly and some lovely biscuits to welcome us which was such a thoughtful thing to do. I've raved about our stay to friends who now want to visit themselves. I'll definitely be back.

Location was stunning. Overlooking falmouth marina. Close and beautiful walk into town. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the property. Quite literally everything you could need. Toiletries, dressing gowns. Even a blender which came in handy for cocktails. Complementary milk, bubbles in the fridge and biscuits.. Oil, condiments and sundries. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful floors. The pink sunset bathes the entire property. Absolutely stunning.

No curtains/blinds. No Tvs in bedroom. Bed too small, only a double and very hard. Also, recieved a message late on first night telling me bikes needed to be kept outside, we didnt have bikes, so knew the accomodation owner was close by, as we have bike racks on our car, this felt abit uncomfortable and not very private. Then, on checkout, as packing the car up, the owner came out to say hello. Pleasant man, but alittle awkward as we were in the middle of vacating. It could be useful to make it obvious on the listing this property is on the grounds of the main house, as we were not aware of this on booking. Over all, lovely place, stunning views, but not the private bolt hole i was hoping for.

The drive is a little steep but I’m not a confident driver so others probably won't mind.

Whole apartment spacious and comfortable? Great view.
