A Whole New World Villa

This 7-bedroom home was exactly what we were hoping for—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for bringing everyone together. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded, and the layout made it easy to enjoy both group time and quiet moments. The pool was definitely a highlight—clean, inviting, warm and south-facing. It was also only a block walk to the community pool.

The only minor downside for our group was that the beds were a bit firmer than we personally prefer, but that didn’t take away from an otherwise great and memorable stay.

The Orlando area is wonderful this time of year. At least since the 1990s, we come almost every year for Christmas and stay at least two weeks. The weather is great. The house is nice, in a great community and location. The host was informed at booking of the number in our party—11 from Norway and family from the States. The host was very accommodating to our size and gave early check-in. Not something we liked, but did laugh about after the extortion attempt (well before check-out on 29 DEC—see pic). We were being accused of “excessive abuse” for clearly aging equipment that failed on arrival. It was ironic to be labeled scammers after reporting legitimate, documented issues.

POOL HEAT: As a highly anticipated source of relaxation, the pool heat was the most important amenity. At booking, the host confirmed it was included. When it failed to heat after arrival, we offered to pay just to ensure it worked, but the host insisted it was unnecessary. It remained broken for the first 7 days. Screenshots between the host and the pool repairman showed the equipment was old. After repair, it never heated well and would shut off at times. The stove broke on Christmas Eve morning. Christmas dinner couldn't be cooked, and breakfast had to be made on a dirty BBQ. The stove gave error code F9E0, and the oven door had silver duct tape holding parts together. It was replaced 3 days later with what appeared to be a used unit. It worked fine, and Christmas dinner was had a few days late. Listed to sleep 16, there were only 6 towels and table settings for six. Plates, bowls, silverware, and towels had to be purchased. HVAC: The filters were disgusting and almost completely clogged. Only two issues were communicated to the host: the pool heat and the stove. At first, only the pool heat was reported. While the host was initially responsive with repair updates, they later became dismissive. They apologized for the “inconvenience,” but this was a fundamental problem for a service that was included. When a resolution was sought, the host said, “the world does not revolve around me.” The stove was reported after interaction. After the repairs the host sent this msg... WORD FOR WORD: (see pic) "We are requesting a payment for the replacement of pool and stove due to your direct excessive abuse. We are willing to resolve this without having to make a formal complaint with Booking.com. The cost for everything is $1,100.00 USD. Your cooperation with this matter will ensure a swift resolution.

Wonderful community with constant upkeep for the properties. Got to walk to the pond and see an alligator basking in the sun on the bank!

Need to have pest control come out their was so many roaches they was all in the fridge on our groceries
