The Location wasn't what it was described as, being "La Cala Blanca en Mijas in La Cala de Mijas offers direct beachfront access with stunning views." It is in fact, 15-minute walk to the beach across busy roads. The views are only of other apartment blocks, just concrete. Yes, you can have a dog in the apartment, but it is not allowed in any other place in or near apartments. Very few places to walk the dog, unless you go to the beach, which is a long walk. No locks on the patio doors, so I had to take my money and valuables with me every time I went out. It should have smoke alarms and fire extinguishers and a customer complaints book, which is required by Spanish law; it had none of these, but was told they were being fitted when we left. Having dropped something on the floor had to move the sofa and it was very dirty underneath. I suggest you get the cleaners to move the furniture occasionally. The toaster was disgraceful; all the outer plastic coating melted, in fact, it was dangerous. I pointed this out to the host and was told that if I didn't like it, then don't use it, he did not supply us with a new one, which costs very little money. The whole stay was very disappointing; it was cheaply furnished for making some quick money, but all on the cheap. The bed was not comfortable either. I certainly would not recommend this property to anyone; it is overpriced and very small, certainly not big enough for 4 people, although it did have a double bed and two singles. The host was not helpful either, not even a bottle of water was left for us when we arrived.

Nos gustó absolutamente todo. Podías bajar a la playa dando un pequeño paseo. Justo en frente 2 supermercados. El apartamento bien equipado, cómodo, limpio. Tener estacionamiento incluido un plus aunque es fácil aparcar en frente del mismo edificio. La piscina no está masificada y es muy agradable. Sin duda ha sido un acierto. Estaríamos encantados de repetir el próximo verano.

The host was fantastic and very easy to deal with. The location was great as well....a 10 mins walk down to the main area and the beach. Lots of good restaurants and beach bars to choose from in Cala de Mijas.....Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Indian, high end and affordable too. Good Irish bar for the sports and great supermarkets for home cooking. The apartment itself was perfect with nice furnishings and everything you would need for a holiday stay. Lovely balcony with windows that can be moved out to the side to let fresh Spanish air flow through. Swimming pool was clean and there was grass at the side to put your towel. There are signs asking you to be respectful of the noise during siesta as there are private residents living in the complex....although we have two kids who were not exactly quiet with lots of laughter and splashing and we didn't get any complaints. Overall very good experience and would happily return.
