Beach Comber - Hastings

Lovely and bright, clean and very spacious, perfect to watch the waves from the balcony, lovely big door to bring the outside in

There was nothing we didn’t like

Location was great and the main room is lovely. We had a couple of issues which we raised with the hosts who responded appropriately so all in all a good experience

There were no coffee pods or dishwasher tablets and one or two items in the kitchen not clean There was a fault with the fire alarm which caused a problem going off at night but we were compensated for this and believe that it is now fixed

It was very cozy and comfortable

there was not enough cleanliness, for example, the towels were all stained and the windows overlooking the sea were also not clean.

The living room area was bright and spacious. Lovely view out to the sea.

The entry to the property was filthy and had a strong unpleasant smell. The apartment itself was not well kept. The carpet in the first bedroom (not pictured on booking.com) is stained in many different areas and pillows and mattress need replaced. The windows had not been cleaned in quite a long time. We needed to use the iron however it was very rusted and could not be used.

They left toiletries and washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and handwash which was delightful. So helpful. Exceptions online communication when we booked with them. Beds were good, lovely bedrooms and fab having 2 bathrooms. A shop close by which is great. Good laminated guide but it did’t tell us to look in the living room drawers for games and menus for takeaways. Wish we had known. Incredibly quick maintenance guy - very very good service.

Heating was not good - radiators blazing hot at night in the rooms and freezing in the living room. Could not work out how to get them how we wanted them. Shower (individual), went hot and cold sadly. Sofa - very uncomfortable. Handrail looks like it might come off the wall.

Very good location and super views.

Sadly the comfort of the apartment and its facilities did not live up to its good location and lovely views. With a lot of TLC and basic changes it could be a stunning apartment. The mattresses on the beds need changing for sure as well as the heating in the lounge/ diner. The kitchen too needs to be better equipped.

The living/dinning room is lovely, with the best view! Having a balcony, although very slim but can sit out on it.

A little updating of things like curtains in the bedrooms, toilet brushes ect would make it that extra bit nicer.

The poor standard of decor and upkeep and some real issues with the cleanliness of the place. The communal areas of the building were not pleasant.

The view and the balcony felt like such a treat!!! Felt like home. A beautiful apartment, and if in Hastings again, I will be in touch and highly recommend
