Hot Tub Lodge 8 Cameron, St Andrews

The property was very well presented and very comfortable for our stay. The hot tub was great and ideal with privacy from resort road. We also enjoyed how well equipped and spacious the property was.

The temperature gauge for tap on the bath in the main bathroom did not work. The water was then on a very hot temperature and my toddler couldn’t take a bath. In the en-suite, there was mould marks around the shower base and there was a foul smell within the en-suite. The shower itself worked and was powerful but when you turned it off it somehow later ended up on again even though there was physically no more turning feasible on the dial. This was irritating when hearing random water drops through the night. The extractor fan seems to be loose on the outside of the lodge at the en-suite which also rattled through the day and night with the wind. I understand these things can happen, however we called reception and were told someone would be over the next day to fix the bathroom issue - nobody arrived and the issue was still not resolved on check out.

Really spacious & clean. In a fantastic location with only a 12 minute drive into the centre of St Andrews. Closet supermarket only a 7 minute drive which came in handy for some food items we’d forgot to pack.

Everything was lovely but it would have been excellent if some usual condiments were provided like cooking oil for example and tin foil.

We really enjoyed our visit to St Andrews. It is such a beautiful place. It’s dog friendly, loads of places cater for dogs and the beaches are superb for walking. Loads of choice when selecting suitable eating places. In terms of accommodation we felt a little let down. We’d paid for early arrival but collected our keys and headed to our accommodation to be met by a man who told us to come back in half an hour. This was at 3pm and we should’ve been able to access from 2pm. We were refunded but it wasn’t the smoothest of starts. The lodge was lovely and felt very clean. The hot tub had scum marks round the edges and a layer of some sort of scummy foam which was disappointing. I chose to clean it myself as it’d have completely put my daughter off if I’d pointed it out. The offsite restaurant was closed throughout and the coffee shop had very peculiar opening hours which didn’t cater for our needs at all. Lastly, our lodge backed onto a really busy road. If you’re used to road noise, I’m sure you’d be fine. It was a huge turnoff for us. Lots of good points but some negatives too. Given the cost, I’m still not sure that I’d choose to return.

Fantastic property that ticked all the boxes we wanted. We will definitely be back!

The property was outstanding in all respects. All of the staff were really friendly and we were made welcome from the minute we arrived. Superb in all respects.

Property is amazing in a great location, has everything you could need and it’s really comfortable.

Unfortunately the washing machine didn’t work, the hot tub only had half the jets working and the TV didn’t work on arrival. Getting hold of someone out of hours is impossible. Getting anyone to answer the phone in reception is pretty tough too. The staff are incredibly friendly and really helpful but their maintenance team do need to get on top of some of the repairs. Didn’t put me off though as it’s a beautiful lodge in a great location with with lovely staff.

Very clean, lovely furnishings and big space for for a family of 4 plus a dog. Hot tub was the best part of the lodges as my kids absolutely loved it .
