Cosy barn with views in Wick Vale of Glamorgan

The views were amazing 🤩 the barn was so quiet and peaceful and had everything we could need during our stay

The beds were comfy but the double bed was very creaky and could do with fixing.

Excellent location and views. Very clean and well equipped for a short stay.

Poor support from the host agency. We had an issue with an unidentified alarm sound in the boiler house . Calling the holmhosts emergency number gave an answerphone message with no call back. Calling the booking.com number we had poor communication, had to call back hours later to get any action. Finally the next day the owners came from next door and resolved the issue. No dishwasher tablets and the soap in one bathroom ran out after one day

Such a beautiful and peaceful barn. We absolutely loved our stay here and will be back when we can! Some lovely little and thoughtful touches too - my 3year old & 11 month old loved the toys and games in there and loved waking up to the sheep! Somewhere I’d love to live, it was so tranquil! We love this part of south wales and will be booking again when we next get to come back! Thank you!

Nothing! But if you want to be fussy, would be good to have access to hoover in the property to be able to clean up after ourselves as we go (especially with babies who like to drop food everywhere😂)…although I must admit I didn’t look particularly hard for one so may have missed it!

An absolutely amazing house, the location is charming and the views of the coast are great. The place was an beautiful house and was able to accommodate our family of four.

Always use the What Three Words before you come, the place is hard to find, It is on a small road off the main road and next to a farm. Signal here is bad, otherwise I have absolutely no niggles or issues with this location

The barn as cosy very quiet the views were just lovely you could see right across the channel. Its a great place to get away from it all.

The double bed was comfy but as soon as you turn over very noisy but i slept well.

the drains on the right side of the house are not well protected by several boards, terribly loud creaking double bed, dirty, unwashed heat-resistant dishes

When we actually found the barn it was lovely and quiet, and views were fantastic.

I am only 5’2” and all I could see in the bathroom mirror was the top of my head if I stretched right up! Not good, and only a shaving mirror in the double bedroom and no bigger one at all. Only one bedside light. Very difficult to find when there are no road signs, no phone signal to check what3words, and no name on the actual barn when we did find it, only recognised by remembering the photo when booking.
