Donington Cottage Apt 8

We have stated at the property before and found the location excellent for our stay. We have all the facilities we need.

The cleanliness was lacking this year. There were large cobwebs in the kitchen window and lounge. The blinds in the bedroom were damaged, and the shower riser was also damaged which meant the shower head wouldn’t stay up. We did report this as water came through the ceiling into the lounge area and it looked like it had happened a few times judging by the ceiling. The waste bin was full and overflowing and no recycling like last year. We felt standards had slipped.

Flithy bathroom,main door not closing,appliances flithy,not even hand wash after 500 quid paid..pathetic n disappointing.

Good sized apartment, full kitchen and sitting room had plenty of seating areas and table for dinning. Towels and bedding very clean.

Very dirty, window sills, floor, crockery, table top, floors. Meant to have a cleaning crew prior to guest arrival, it was very clear that this had not happened for a while judging by the cobwebs. Place smelt damp and foisty, all the windows were open when we got there to try and hide the smell. Shower was not very nice had limescale everywhere. Bed in double room was tiny. Bin at the side of the apartment was stinking and overflowing. Back door had dropped so you could not slide the bolts.

Very spacious and well stocked . Ideal for a family with the sofa bed and a good location for the village.

TV cable broken (i fixed it) TV in the bedroom didn't work with the remote. Shower Head wall fixing broken. Shower tray to tiles has mold all round. Cobweb. (cleaner needs to go to specsavers)

Nice cottage and layout. Great location. Parking off road.

Seating uncomfortable and tv was hit and miss.

Private, cosy and with everything that I needed. Great communication from hosts. I would love to stay again, thank you.

Could do with a deep clean but liveable.

Two nights visiting family in the village so just needed a place to stay. The cottage is spacious and private. It is pretty well equipped. The location is perfect for walking into Castle Donington.

It all felt a bit tired, neglected and unloved. The cleaning needs closer supervision, tv remotes were dirty and surfaces smeared.
