Cactus, Playa Y piscina

Neat little apartment in small complex, clean & comfortable. No air-con but owner bought me a fan for the bedroom, not needed in living room due to constant breeze. Small pool area with a few Sunbeds but never busy. Supermarket across the road with a couple of bars & restaurants. Ten minute walk to the beach & boardwalk with more amenities. Very good info from owner re access to the apartment.

The appartment was exceptionally clean and the decor amazing. It really was like a home from home.

The pool area looked a little un- kept.

Washing Machine and coffee pod machine !! Very clean

Hot water runs out very quick when showering

Loved the location of the apartment, very quiet as adults only! Beds were very comfy!

The apartment didnt get any sun at all which is fine when hot but too chilly to sit out at night at this time of year.

Unfortunately I can not say that very much was great about my stay in Cactus Playa Y Piscina, It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the local area is good.

There is still building work going on a couple of rooms away and the construction noise from that was bad every week day from 8am until 5pm. There is a long term tenant in the room next to this, they have a dog that barks continuously when they leave it alone and there is zero soundproofing so you can hear the dog like it is in your room. I complained about the noise and the hosts spoke to the tenant the next morning. They accused me of banging my door loudly but the door banging comes from the room directly underneath the neighbours room, the noise from the door banging also annoyed me. In retaliation to the hosts speaking to them, the neighbour turned up the volume of their TV and music until 1am in the morning they were very noisy every day after that and you can hear it like you are in the room with them. The electrical socket in the kitchen was hanging out of the wall with exposed wires - very dangerous. The shower head was so loose that you couldn't turn the shower on fully or the shower head would fly about on its own and you get about 1 minute before the water goes cold. The only live channels on the TV are Spanish, however there is Netflix and other streaming channels and a previous tenant had not logged off so I could watch some things on there in languages other than Spanish. On my last day the cleaner let herself in without knocking - over an hour before checkout time. I had just had my 1 minute shower (it goes cold after 1 minute) and I was naked and she just stood there looking at me and speaking Spanish as I found something to cover myself, I tried to explain 'uno hora' (one hour) but she just seemed annoyed and I had to shoo her away so I could get dressed. This apartment is in the Los Carmenes complex and I stayed there 3 weeks ago in another room (the one with the noisy door). I have thoroughly disliked both times I stayed in Los Carmenes and I will not be staying there again and would advise others to avoid it.
