Jawa Jiwa G-Land Resort

Location is great. This is the best accomodation option in the area. Staff were friendly.

For the amount of money spent it didn't meet my expectations. The pillows were terrible and gave me a sore neck. I suggest bringing your own. The food is pretty average. Very greasy and heavy. No option to eat healthy. The monkeys are pretty savage. We felt on edge eating even though staff were standing guard with sling shots. My friends food got stolen from her plate. The most sad part was the beaches. They were disgusting. There was trash everywhere on the beaches and in the water, and there was ALOT. They charge you 200,000 per day for national park fees which is pretty substantial. No idea where that money goes. Definitely no effort to clean the beach.

Scored 6-8ft Money Tree's the entire time I was there, location, staff and food were amazing and the boat outback was very handy! Doesn't get better than G Land...

Surprised by the glamping. It was well done and spacious. Beautiful acoustics with the sound of the rain at night on the tent roof. Amazing surf and plenty of options.

The monkeys. It is a jungle like atmosphere and I’m not a fan of monkeys. The food was very average. It surprised me that it was so westernised and not a little warung with great local dishes.

The people are what make Jawa Jiwa so incredible - both the staff and other guests. The location is also impossible to beat - it's mere walking distance to the waves - and it's a magical experience staying in the jungle with all of the wildlife. The food served at the restaurant is always delicious with huge portions (perfect after a day of surfing) and I can't recommend the wonderful surf coach enough.

Services (e.g., surf coaching) need to be booked well in advance as I specifically booked Jawa Jiwa to improve my surfing but there wasn't a coach on site until near the end of our stay. I also wasn't a fan of the speedboat, which is the main means of getting to and from Java from Bali, as advertised by Jawa Jiwa - I found it incredibly expensive as well as quite a scary experience, and I was very seasick.

The location - deep in the forest, far away from the nearest town. Food was delicious and good size portions. Right beside the famous G-land waves. Deer, boar, peacocks and monkeys all around. The glamping tents were extremely spacious and comfortable. Worth noting that most of the camps are not 'open' in March as the surf is a bit unpredictable, so there was nobody else around. Nice and quiet! but not possible to do other activities such as rent bikes, tour mangroves etc - only in season.
