Qala Bed&Breakfast with swimming pool - IL-Wenniessa

My wife and I spent two weeks here. It was definitely our best stay in Malta/Gozo. The charm of this place is created by the great host who takes care of the smallest details, from excellent breakfasts, through help with planning the day, to friendly conversations over coffee/tea. We enjoyed using the swimming pool, which is available 24 hours a day. The guesthouse is located a 5-minute walk from the market square, where you will find two excellent restaurants, a cafe and a shop. The bus stop is 2 minutes away, but it is an additional one (less frequent trips) and the main stop is a 5-minute walk away. We were delighted and we definitely want to come back here. A place for people who prefer peace and quiet. We definitely recommend it!

Staying at Michelle's place was a truly wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, Michelle made me feel incredibly welcome. Her warm hospitality made me feel right at home. She often invited me over for dinner or drinks in the evening, which was a delightful way to unwind and get to know the local culture. The breakfast provided was absolutely amazing—each morning was a culinary delight that I looked forward to. My room had a lovely balcony where I could enjoy my coffee while taking in the view, and the bathroom was modern and spotless, adding to the overall comfort of my stay. Everything about my stay exceeded my expectations, making it an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Michelle's place to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming stay.

One thing that bothered me was the construction site in front. But I heard from Michelle that it will end in June. So I guess it won't be a problem anymore.

Nothing - everything was great

Staff was super nice, communicative and helpful. She prepared a wonderful breakfast with everything you like. The room was good and bathroom big. Pool is very small but alright to cool down. There's a bus stop and supermarket nearby and you only walk about 20 minutes to the beach. I can recommend staying there!

Michelle was very welcoming, prepared amazing breakfasts and gave me good tips to enjoy the island of Gozo. The room is close to the town's center and bus stops (to reach other cities like Victoria and/or the ferry). The room was very clean and I could use the kitchen, which was nice. It was perfect 🙂

Great host, nice breakfast, clean and comfortable room, quiet area, solid wifi.

Very quiet village location away from the main zones, not much to do. During my stay (but possibly not yours), roadworks in the village completely disrupted the bus route which made getting to other parts of the island more difficult and confusing. The pool was not available. The room is a touch more expensive compared to other options on the island.
