Badgers Cottage, Coniston Water, Lake District

The property was very clean, well equipped and in an excellent location with stunning mountain and lake views. I was welcomed by a lit up Xmas tree in the porch, plenty of tea/coffee/sugar, a bottle of milk in the fridge, little box of celebrations, and a vase of flowers on the table. I could go on - it was all very much appreciated.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. It was perfect for a four night stay.

The view of the lake and the old man of Coniston was stunning

Very small. Didn’t feel private

The location was quite remote. But you expect this in the lake district. However, the views from the cottage make up for this 10-fold. Cottage was cosy, very well presented and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

check in/out times a little harsh

we absolutely loved our stay here, the view is incredible and the cottage was very clean and well kept. the staff were kind and welcoming when we arrived, even accommodating us on such short notice (we booked 30 mins before we arrived). Overall cost and well equipped. Looks even better than in the pictures.
