Parisian-Inspired 1BR in the Heart of Bucharest - Balcony AC, & Fully Equipped

Am asteptat doua luni sa dau acest review, am sperat ca sunt oameni cu care te poti intelege. Am gasit 5 gandaci mergand in bucatarie cand am facut check in-ul si m-au pus sa platesc un depozit mai scump fata de ce este afisat pe booking. Mi-au spus asta cu 48h inainte de check in si nu puteam sa mai anulez fara sa pierd banii. Astept de doua luni o factura de la hostul acestui apartament. Am primit un pdf care nu are nici o legatura cu booking-ul meu de la o persoana din Mexic. Datele mele personale si ale firmei au ajuns la cineva strain din Mexic. Am vorbit cu HOLT in toata perioada sederii pe email-ul lor dar dupa ce am parasit apartamentul m-au contactat de pe un email suspect din mexic. Angajatii booking mi-au confirmat inainte sa platesc depozitul ca hostul este Janet si ca sunt de incredere Holt si ca nu este ok ce se intampla si incearca de doua luni sa sune host-ul si pe holt dar nu raspund. Azi inca le scriu sa imi trimita factura fiscala de la HOLT, sau host-ul proprietatii dar nu primesc nimic legal. Apartamentul are doua postere A1 pe usa cu reguli noi fata de cele de pe booking precum ca daca faci orice nu le place iti vor trage cate 100 de euro pentru fiecare. Booking m-a facut sa achit desi mi-au spus telefonic ca nu este ok ce s-aintamplat cu datele si ca nu am primit nici acum factura dar nu isi asuma in ce m-au bagat. Daca esti host si vezi asta, trimite-mi o data factura fiscala LEGALA adevarata.

Location was excellent. Appartment looked very nice, always smaller than the pictures suggest but enough space for us. Good bathroom with window and insect screen, shower area was big and very pleasant.

Couch was not comfortable for sleeping. For the rest only small things: Closing front door needed a big pull and bang. We did not care much for those air 'fresheners'. Found the pepper but no salt. Building was under construction (noise) but place itself was in good condition.

The apartment is very nice, tastefuly decorated, comfortable, clean and just a few steps from the Piata Romana metro statation and bus station. Very central and very convienient for exploring the city. Just oustide the apartment on the street, there are plenty of pastary shops, pizza shop,, fast food and super markets.

I did not like that the agency (or whoever manages the apartment) did not clearly state before booking that they demand a deposit of 250 Euros as a garantee for damages that might occur. So you in the last minute after finalising the booking which is non-refundable is faced with the option either to pay a deposit of 250 Euros or a lump sum of 30 Euros for damages that might or might not occur. If you do not pay, then you can not access the check-in instructions which have been provided on the day of arrival when you are already on the road. So faced with this, I decided to pay the extra 30 Euros and be done with it as there was no option to cancell the booking. I believe that this deposit policy should be very clearly and transparently stated at the very begining before finalizing the booking. They kept this information hidden or burried somewhere in the fine print on purpose as they know that many travellers will have their legitmate supesions and will really think twice before booking. Again I think it is not fair to demand any further payments after finalizing the booking.
