FLH Tavira Central Town House with Terrace & Rooftop

Excellent location. Well equipped kitchen (including the all important bottle opener). Super comfy beds with lovely crisp bed linen. Plenty of clothes storage and lots of hangers. Very clean. Air con was a big plus. Decent hair dryer provided which was a bonus! We enjoyed our stay, thank you.

We didn’t use the top terrace due to the access being via very steep, ladder-like steps making carrying food, drinks etc up there impossible as hands needed to be free. A key for the patio door would be useful so the back entrance could be used (key provided for the courtyard door). None of this had a negative impact on our stay though.

De ligging van het huisje was uitstekend. Heel centraal maar toch niet te druk. Het was ook heel netjes. Heel dicht bij een supermarkt. Het was ook gemakkelijk dat je de auto ongeveer voor de deur kon parkeren.

De uitrustig van het huisje was echt minimaal. Net genoeg borden en bestek maar twee kleine braadpannen en twee steelpannetjes is echt te weinig. Ook was er niets om iets schoon te maken, geen borstels, dweilen en dergelijke. Ook moet je direct naar de winkel want ook waren er geen basisproducten zoals zout, peper e.d.

Beaux espaces sur plusieurs niveaux. Terrasses et rooftop super. Bon confort sans fausses notes.

The house is spacious and well decorated. The ground floor terrace off the kitchen is a nice space for breakfast. It was very clean.

The other two outside spaces, particularly the roof terrace look good on the photos but aren't practical to be used due to the access issue. Whilst staying I slipped on the lower section of the stairs and significantly hurt myself requiring visits to a doctor and treatment for very bad bruising. Fortunately no broken bones. The big issue is that there is no handrail for the first section of the stairs plus the steps are not all the same dimensions. This is very dangerous. The management company "Feels like home" we're not very easy to deal with.

Living room too small.

Generally well kept property with all you could need for a self catering stay. The house was well decorated, well equipped and clean throughout. Location was just what we wanted, right in the centra of old Tavira with good quality bars and restaurant nearby. We spent a large amount of time out of the property exploring the area, which is lovely.

I would give this property a higher score if it was not for the roadworks right outside the property for the duration of our stay. We should have been informed of this before our arrival. We did complain but appropriate alternative accommodation that was equivalent was not available. The inside of the property was excellent, due to road works we found the courtyard and roof top terrace almost impossible to use due to the noise and dust from outside on the street. We attended early in the season in April after some bad weather -there was mold in the bedrooms which needed cleaning before visitors arrive. Also we did not get the sun for long during the day on outside area, but I suspect this would be better for the sunworshippers in the high season.
