SPINDLE COTTAGE - Riverside cottage on the edge of the Peak District

The flat had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable. We could park right in front of the property.

There is a nice pub nearby but for other restaurants in Holmfirth you need to take a taxi… but we knew that when we booked and uber/taxis were easy and cheap.

The property is in a great location. It was very clean, the kitchen had all the necessary utensils/pots and pans to cook meals, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean and towels were provided. Our host Ben kept in touch prior to arrival, during and after our stay. He provided recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, and emergency contacts. Would definitely stay again!

Maybe consideration for an hour extra for check out? But that's not a complaint, just a thought.

Location was pleasant, parking was good, needed car for the local town as it was about 40min walk to the cafes,pubs

Seating and mattress could have been a little comfier but that's all.

Comfortable, clean cottage furnished to a high standard, close to peak District for cycling/hikes, a pub over the road for food and drinks, a shop if you've forgot any essentials, and a bus stop which will take you to holmfirth or Huddersfield and beyond every hour or so. Loved the gargling of the river that flows across the road and the birds tweeting on a morning

Nothing, there is another property above so is a bit of noise and the road outside is quite busy for being a small lane but thats it.

The property was very clean and comfortable; the kitchen was well stocked with utensils so that we were able to prepare food during our stay (there’s even a convenience store just over the road which stocks all the necessaries for a good breakfast (and a pub)). The shower was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Thanks again to our host, Ben, who we didn’t get to meet, but kept in touch with us before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.
