The hosts were amazing, fast replies. The place is an absolute value for money, it is spacious and has a barbeque, hot tub, 5 heaters and a mega TV, what more can you ask for. There was also plenty kitchen utensils and oven equipment as well. There was also hot chocolate which tasted amazing after a long day. Hands down one of the best places ive stayed at. Definitely recommend.

I’ve always liked staying in cottages/ lodges when choosing accommodation as they have such a cosy vibe. Giltún is also only a 15-min drive from Selfoss town and its remote location meant we could potentially see the northern lights (from the hot tub) which we did and has made our weekend!

Everything was perfect :)

A cosy wooden cottage, simple but comfortable. Location is perfect - close to major attractions, if you want to travel, yet secluded. The sky is dark enough to see the stars and aurora (if you are lucky:). Highly recommended!
