Would have preferred a walk-in shower.

We vonden het overdekte zwembad en de grote tuin geweldig. De cottage zelf was mooi, degelijk en zeer compleet ingericht. The Grove Inn in het schilderachtige dorpje is ook echt een aanrader. Verder lag het gunstig voor een bezoek aan de Exmoor, Exeter en een dagje strand. We hebben een topweek gehad!

Beautiful extensive grounds that can be enjoyed from numerous seating areas including private space for each cottage. The fabulous heated swimming pool can be booked so each cottage can enjoy time to themselves. Lots of outside activities suitable for all ages. It’s lovely waking up to the sound of birds and watching ducks wandering around the grounds. Very friendly owner who took time to meet us and show us round.

A walk-in shower would have been more convenient for us instead of one over the bath. The beds were comfortable but the duvets were a bit too heavy for the summer months.

The Old Rectory is a wonderful place to stay. The property is so welcoming, as are the hosts. The pool, with a private booking system, was so enjoyable. It kept the kids entertained, with lots of floats and toys for common use. It was fantastic to pass time on rainy days especially. The garden is so well set up and there is lush greenery everywhere, plus with outdoor picnic tables and table tennis and a tree swing etc. You honestly have everything you need! The wildlife is a lovely addition with birds and ducks/geese wandering around. There is even a real log fire with logs provided! Sharron was such a lovely host, offering advice and helping out if we needed anything at all. We are sad to be saying goodbye! Thank you so much for an amazing holiday.

Nothing at all, it is a great place and wonderful for families or groups of families to share the communal spaces, but with your own private home.

i really liked the surroundings a lovely hideaway place with a decent swimming pool and grounds. The house had everything you could need the bedding was excellent and the bed extremely comfortable. The owners take great pride in the rooms and it was very nice

although it was dog friendly you weren't able to leave them and we wanted to be able to actually go out for a few hours and explore with out the dogs. Everything is so far away even just getting food etc was a long way away and the roads are all very much a back road drive nothing is local and we were unlucky the pub was shut the week we were there.

The house was very well stocked , very roomy , heating great and all facilities good including the beautiful heated pool which we used a lot . Excellent place for children with playgrounds, pool etc . Lovely pub around the corner with excellent food . You’ll need a car but the roads are easy once you find the main roads
