Sky acres aka the tin cottage

Showed up to locked gate and no trespassing signs called the phone number 3 times with no answer wrote a message and got a response 35 minutes later after we already left so we didnt even stay at the property

Definitely an unusual fun little cabin. If you enjoy adventure and unique experiences this place is for you. Lenard the proprietor is helpful and accommodating. Not far from Manatee Springs great place to go for a refreshing swim, kayaking or a good hike.

Cabin was uniquely decorated and it's an eclectic and creative setting on site as well as inside. Was something different from standard State Park type cabins but still had a natural backdrop that was peaceful. A great price for a quick stop. Host was nice and had thought of a lot of little touches, including a small propane stove and fridge, that would make for a more complete camping experience.

Depending on what type of nature person you are (hunter versus animal lover), the various dead animal heads and furs could be jarring, especially with so many and in such a small space. Also, the structure is wood with no windows or AC, so very stifling in FL. Sleeping with the door open with fan going isn't really an option for everyone. There's also a large tent set up very close to this cabin, presumably that could also be rented for night, so it seems there's a chance you may not always have the immediate area to yourself. The outdoor shower did not seem to have much pressure and didn't seem to be the most private (I did not partake)

This cottage is adorable. Luckily, I'm ok with the "fur trapper" motif. The small bed is plenty comfortable and I loved the cozy vibe. Even with dead animals hanging overhead! I only needed a place to lay my head, and this fit the bill, but I almost wanted to stick around and explore the trails, the facilities and the little plunge pool.

There's very limited power. A fan, but no a/c. At night, with the door open (no windows) it was fine, but it doesn't feel too secure for a woman sleeping alone. So I closed and locked the door. While cosy, it felt a bit stifling. I think a window needs to be added if a/c is impossible.

Quite, peaceful. Country setting was wonderful.

Little bit more primitive than what I was expecting. However, good experience. Owner was very nice, quiet location. Perfect place if you want to get off the grid and just enjoy a little peace a quiet.

We stayed in a cozy cabin in the woods and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, surrounded by nature and fresh air. The cabin itself was comfortable, perfect for a couple. Inside, there were many cool and atmospheric decorations. A special mention to the host – very friendly and responsive, always available. A great place to relax and we will definitely be back

Peace and quiet, night sky, beautiful birds, fire pit chipmunks jumping around, jungle looking surroundings, solitude, tranquility. Nice place to spend some time alone, reflect, rethink, pray. I did not mind outdoor shower and toillet (wich were nice and clean), although I did not expect it. Maybe good to know in advance so you don't give bad review. I was brought snacks every day, place had a lot of hand sanitizers, soaps, shower gel... I liked that there was can of beer at the table the first day. A lot of funny signs all over the place, a little trail that you could take a walk on ( beware of thicks, I got one first day). Owner takes good care of this place, looks modest, respects your privacy so you should respect this place.

Too much dead (stuffed) animals in the room, not a lot of place to put your things.
