They insisted I pay in cash, conflicting stories about their credit card machine. Every little supermarket has a credit card machine, how can hotel not have one? Had to ask several times for a receipt. Didn't like my $100 usd bill! There's something a little fishy about this place. No maintenance, a grand villa slowly being neglected . Didn't charge the Seychelles sustainability tax, which everywhere else does. As I said, fishy.

kitchen equipment, pans, hot pot are old. The nearby beach cannot be used for swimming. Restaurants are far. It is necessary to have a car or to travel somehow.

It was a last minute booking, the pictures do not compare to seeing the villa in real time. Beautiful furniture with the finest details, scenic views and the option to pay for in-house dining. Lots of greenery surrounding the area, but the view of the sea and the pools provided the perfect escape from the city centre and town. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The host was accommodating. The amenities provided were to the best, and we had the villa to ourselves. You hardly bump into other residents, there's enough privacy.

We just made the mistake of not renting our own car in advance, as we were in Beau Vallon, which is a bit of a distance from town. A car is needed, as Bayview Villa is quite a drive away from town, but the peace and stillness it provides at the end of a long day of exploring is worth it. The host was kind enough to help us rent a car towards the end of our stay.
