Amanya 3-Bedroom Hut Amboseli

The staff is amazing and very flexible. They are really there to make your stay perfect. Waking up in the morning you are welcomed by all sorts of wildlife and you have a beautifull view of Kilimanjairo.

The location was good. Evans, available at the property and the person who helped us with everything, was fabulous. It was easy to find the property with the pin. The host was very responsive to questions.

There was no electricity available in the morning when we wanted to set out on an early morning game drive. The fridge also works intermittently as it runs on solar power. It was great to see that everything runs on solar power, but it would have been advisable to inform us of this beforehand - we were told that it was a fully functioning kitchen. We took cooked food with us which was good because it would have been challenging to cook full meals in the kitchen. The pots and pans need to be replaced.

A very nice accommodation located near the entrance gate to Amboseli National Park. The area is fenced and guarded. The accommodation itself is very creative, yet pleasantly basic. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are nicely decorated. The staff took good care of us. The food is somewhat average, but there aren’t many other options nearby. The appearance of the accommodation is absolutely Instagram-friendly.

Great position, close to Iremito Gate (10minutes by car) Accommodation was nice furniched and clean. 3 bed rooms, 3 bathrooms, beautiful outside area. This place is like In the middle of nowhere. You can see wild animal around, but accommodation is well guarded against them. Great if you want to enjoy calm time during visithing Amboseli NP. There is on man working in this place . He prepare for you great breakfast, clean the house and you can ask him for the lunch and dinner also.

Bumpy road.... be prepare for long way from main road to the accommodation.

Very rough road to this place but worth it as the view was nice. Location in front of my Kilimanjaro with zebra, girrafe and antelopes around you. Nearby masaai village and school. Spacious for kids to run around Friendly staff

Poor ventilation. No Ac and fan. Poor water flow. We did not get a single drop of hot/warm water for bath for the whole stay. No electricity after 11pm. Too many flies in the house despite close windows. No privacy as the staff can enter the house to cook. Due to poor ventilation, the house feel like smoking when he prepared the breakfast. The guide for game drive was arranged by them, the guide was very lazy and boring. Not worth money to spend and my kids just bored. We went to few game drive before where the guide will try their best to show all animals. But our guide just laid back, showing birds again and again (most of the time).

Remote but secure, fly screens on some windows which was good as no air con and pretty warm at night, comfy beds, had a fridge but disconnected until the generator starts at night. Evan’s did his best to look after us.

The house is quite beautiful though it is in need of renovations/ drainage: (On the first day of our stay it rained very heavily and water started leaking from the ceiling in the dining area and also water entered into the sitting room.

One: We felt overcharged by the management for the meals. Despite an agreement to pay for the Chef and ingredients. They billed $10 per person per meal which is their standard pricing for meals at the restaurant, in spite of this the chefs fee was also billed. If they charged the normal prices we shouldn't have paid Chef fees.We were also billed for chef pay on the day of checking out ( He only made breakfast which is part of the BB package covered in the accommodation). We raised a complaint to the management but no candid response has been given so far. Which is very disappointing. Two: Being solar powered hot showers they use firewood. The caretaker was reluctant to do the same on the checkout day, we literally had to keep asking for the caretaker to finally do it. Their excuse: "Warming up the boiler with firewood will take time".
