Location, cleanliness, facilities

A few small things. Only one key provided-insufficient for a party of five; front door lock not working (side door working fine); no tea towels/kitchen towels provided; in kitchen no logic to the storing of cups/glasses/pots-dispersed accross cross a number of presses, making it difficult to find things

I loved this house and it's location. It looks straight out onto the bog, amazing views of the surrounding countryside from all the windows. Sheep and a Connemara pony in the field next door, orchids in the grass outside the house. We also saw a hare and two merlins at times on the way to the house. f you like the feeling of being out in the wild you will love it! But other houses scattered around, so not completely isolated, it's about 1/2 mile from Ballyconeely and not very far to Clifden by car. The house was bigger than I expected and had a lovely character. Although it was June there was quite a cold wind blowing but the house was cosy and snug. Would love to stay there again.

There were a few things strangely lacking - no washing up liquid and sponge or cloths (although there was a dishwasher and a couple of tablets, there was nothing to wipe down kitchen surfaces), no spare bin bags, no handsoap in the bathrooms or kitchen and just one tea towel. They could also do with a couple more small sharp knives for cooking. But don't let that put you off, it's a beautiful place!!
