Amelia Sweet Home - Farindola

We really enjoyed our stay at Amelia Sweet Home. The location is great — very quiet, and close to both the mountains (Campo Imperatore) and the sea (Pescara), so it’s easy to visit different places in one day. The apartment was clean, well equipped, and had everything we needed. We loved the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the house. The host was very kind and easy to communicate with. We felt really comfortable — like at home. Would definitely recommend for anyone who likes nature, calm, and exploring by car.

Breakfast was not included. The apartment is the only dwelling in the new/renovated house so all place was ours. Everything was spotlessly clean. The windows had shutters - great for the hot days. Everything was as we would expect them to be. I will have a few comments below but already now we would award the place 10 out of 10!

The comments below are just suggestions for that what we would do/change to make this almost perfect apartment into the perfect one. Following them or not does not change our opinion about the place - it is already perfect. 1. Change light bulbs in the kitchen/living room with brighter ones - like the ones which already are in all other rooms. Although the present bulbs brighten as they warm up but they do not brighten enough. 2. Install A/C at least in the bedroom and the kitchen/living room (unless the hot weather like the one last week is very uncommon). You probably get enough electric power from the solar panels which cover the roof already. 3. Add the shower cabin in the bathroom or even install it instead of the existing bathtub. In our opinion, there is enough space for both. We would not make this comment some 5 to 10 years ago - the bathtub would be sufficient. Now, being 80+ we cannot sit or kneel inside the tub without risking not being able to stand back. Also, the bathtub becomes slippery when the soap is used. The shower cabin is much safer for seniors. The fraction of travelers who are seniors is going to increase (hopefully). One would expect that they should be encouraged to be independent by meeting their needs. This comment is not meant to be negative. Just a suggestion.
