Borbon's Treehouse By the Sea

Cute little place with nice host and nice treehouses. Quiet but close to main road ( good to have scooter which you can rent with the host). Lovely dogs on the site! Spacious room and clean bathroom. Very quiet and nice atmosphere , nice garden :-)

Pressure in shower could be better . Unfortunately chef wasn’t available so can’t rate breakfast which would be helpful

Awesome lodgement with direct sea access within a local and safe community. Very nice hosts and staff. Close to the island's main town.

The location. It’s beachfront and near the airport. Pet friendly. They have a lot of dogs.

Loose electrical outlets. Hopefully rooms would be air-conditioned in the future :)

None - there is nothing to hate!

The location is at the beach which is the highlight of the place. It is not really for swimming but it‘s nice to have the feet in the sea. We stayed at two different rooms at the place and the owner allowed us to move to a bigger room one day earlier than booked because another guest had to cancel, which was very friendly.

Beach could have been cleaner (plastic was lying around). It was our first place to stay at Camiguin and after the first night we had breakfast there. The food and drinks were very mediocre and one omelette had multiple hairs in it but at that point we didn’t want to complain since we asked for breakfast last minute. The owner wanted us to pay the breakfast at check out, till that point she hadn’t informed us about prices. There is a menu card, but it doesn’t say specifically a price. She charged us 930 pesos )around 16 euros) for two omelettes, a few slices of old toast bread, two mango shakes and a coffee. This price is a straight rip off for this island and we had a bad feeling about this place after leaving.

Very relaxing atmosphere right by the sea. Unfortunately it was raining heavily throughout our time in Camiguin. But we didn't mind staying in at all as the property has a large green area with trees, and is right on the beach so perfect to relax. Maria and her family, who run the guesthouse, made our stay very pleasant. They were all very kind, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and functional, one of the few places with a hot water shower. In the room there were also toiletries and useful items like a kettle, cutlery, hangers, and a lamp

We had a rodent visitor, though it never got into the room, but we could hear it scuttling up and down the walls over our heads during the nights. The room smelt of damp, but this was likely also due to the heavy raining.

If you are expecting a 5 star resort, then you are in the wrong place. If you want to be in nature, feel the sea breeze, enjoy the community around the Century tree, then you will have a fantastic time here!
