Hotel Las Camelias Inn by AHS

El Hotel es muy acogedor, le dan mucha prioridad a la limpieza, todo el STAF fueron muy amables y cordiales. Me encantó su decoración, las diferentes áreas de descanso, las plantas, en el segundo nivel tienen una vista linda a los volcanes y el delicioso café que tomé por la mañana. (el café, te y agua pura, están todo el día de gratis) Las habitaciones cuentan con camas muy cómodas y los baños muy bonitos . Todo muy limpio. Está muy céntrico y no es ruidoso.

Todo estuvo muy bien.

Muy bien el lugar, el personal es muy amable y es bastante cercano al centro de la Antigua. Pero dentro de las condiciones ofrecen parqueo y ellos no tienen parqueo interno o privado, sino que hay que ir a otro lugar a parquear.

Que ofrecen parqueo privado, pero el hotel no tiene parqueo interno. Además que hay que ir a otro lugar y cobran tarifa extra. Yo filtré que tuviera parqueo y precisamente por eso también opté por esta opción porque ofrecía lo que necesitaba. No me gustó que lo ofrezcan y no es cierto.

I don't write reviews, but my experience at this hotel was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn future guests. On my first day, I discovered what appeared to be termite eggs and signs of a termite infestation in the bathroom. I immediately reported it to the front desk, but the staff seemed unconcerned and simply said they would clean it. Nothing was properly addressed. On the second day, I had to report the issue again and specifically point out where the infestation was so housekeeping could clean it correctly. By the third day, the problem had become significantly worse. There were termites throughout the bathroom, from the ceiling to the floor, along with wings scattered on the ground and still attached to the ceiling. When I reported it again, I was told the termites were likely there because I had left the door open—which I had not. Rather than offering a room change or an apology, staff simply cleaned the area and insisted everything was fine, despite visible evidence that the infestation remained. I requested a different room and was initially told the hotel was fully booked. Later, staff suddenly said another room was available, but it had just been painted and smelled strongly of fresh paint. Expecting a guest to stay in a room filled with paint fumes is unacceptable. About 20–30 minutes later, they somehow found yet another available room, which only raised more questions about why I was originally told there were no vacancies. What disturbed me most was not just the infestation itself, but how casually the hotel handled it. The termite activity was clearly visible around the bathroom door, making it hard to believe management was unaware of the problem. Continuing to rent out a room in that condition is unsanitary and unacceptable. I've stayed in many hotels in Guatemala and have never experienced anything like this. I cannot recommend this property.
