Nirvana Home stay TVM -allure

Beautiful designed house, comfortable and well appointed with a/c spacious room and a clean bathroom. Some of the food was nice though heavy in carbs ! & no vegetables or fruit fortunately the owner Kennan was able to take me to the local market to get some fruit etc. Facility did have a very limited view over the river which had no access …. The property is run by a delightful couple who unfortunately did not speak much English ( which is the International language used in most facilities ) so communication was limited. This property would be suitable for Indian folk who are holidaying & have their own transport.

It was advertised as having a balcony but this was not attached to the room . It also had stated in the Booking.com site that the river was accessible with a beach area ….not so ! Their promotion also said that swimming was possible in the river but this also was not true so a little disappointing. The property is so isolated in a labyrinth of lanes that it was impossible to venture anywhere unless you had transport which I didn’t . I utilised the time to do other bookings & work.

We had such a wonderful stay with Sheela and her husband! Their home was absolutely charming – peaceful, cosy and just a short 15-minute drive from the airport. The room was very comfortable, with both air conditioning and a fan, plus a lovely ensuite bathroom. Sheela was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, she offered a pick up from the airport and dropped us off to a tuk tuk stand, offering great suggestions for things to do and even helping us book train tickets when we had trouble online – that was such a relief! We also thoroughly enjoyed Sheela’s amazing breakfasts, especially the flavourful potato stew and the freshly made chapatis – simply delicious!

Very nice place to stay, quite area, very green. Family who run the place very friendly, helpful. Very clean room.

Comfortable room in a beautiful house. Gracious hosts ( Sheela and Kannan). Loved their hospitality. Mr. Kannan took me to various places around Trivandrum and Kanyakumari. Very reasonable cost of staying. And delicious south indian breakfast. Thanks to the host and my comfortable stay, I am in love with Kerala and the Keralites.

This homestay was beautifully designed and made us feel like we were living in the jungle with all the plants. Our hosts were extremely friendly and had breakfast with us everyday. They told us all about local spots and Indian culture. It was a little out of the city which was great, giving us peaceful and quiet evenings listening to the sounds of nature.
