The Roof by Barefoot in Tunis

The property is well located at the edge of the Tunis village with an amazing view on the village and the Qaroun lake from the Roof. It is nicely designed, peaceful and quiet. The houses and the Roof blend well with the local environment, paying special attention to sustainability. Rooms have nice outdoor terraces. The fireplace in the Roof proved very useful at night and created a nice atmosphere to sit outside. Our room had a comfortable bed and good quality linens that allowed us very good sleep. The hosts are very friendly and provide useful tips to exploring the area, eating and getting around.

Very charming interior and nice garden/courtyard area. The room was very cozy and comfortable.

There are not very many to no options around the area for groceries, places to eat, or cafes.

Nothing. I also liked the suroundings/garden. This may change in the future as construction is ongijng on the neighbouring plot.

Excellent facilities, very comfortable and clean and decorated with an eye for detail. It had a fabulous ceiling too! We enjoyed our private balcony as well as the communal rooftop areas. The hosts were friendly and super responsive and provided great information for getting the most of our visit.

Hinges were squeaky (easily remedied by host after we told them) and an outside door banged in the wind all night which disturbed our sleep a little (we couldn't figure out which door was doing it), but was only minor inconvenience.
