Casa da Silva home in Funchal

The view was good, fun local bar and supermarket 2 minute walk. The neighbour was incredibly nice. And I liked the wall with the paintings! Me and our friends were pleasantly surprised! 👍

I personally didn’t like the towels, not very absorbing. Haha, that’s all.

Beautiful view of the city. Free parking on the street right next to the house. Spacious kitchen.

There was a smell of mold in the house. The bathroom was newly renovated, but all the other rooms and furniture were old. The bathroom was cold and damp. There was no nightstand or lamp next to the bed, so if you’re used to keeping your phone or other items nearby while sleeping, you’ll have to place them on the floor. The kitchen was old and worn, with equally old dishes and kitchen utensils. We stayed in the house for three nights. On the first day, everything was clean, but on the second day, ants started appearing, and by the third day, they were everywhere. Our experience communicating with the host was very unpleasant. He said that ants go where the food is, but they were everywhere— in our suitcase, my handbag, even in electronic devices and the bed. My husband’s breathing device, which he uses while sleeping, was full of ants.
