Venus Apartments - Helena Haz

This apartment is in an excellent area with bars, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets just around the corner. There’s a view of the basilica dome from the apartment which was illuminated at night. We ate breakfast on the balcony every morning of our 6 night stay and it was very relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped to make a full meal. The bed was comfortable and shower was good. We used the laundry facilities and clothes dried in a few hours on the airer in the sun. Only a 7 minute walk to catch the airport shuttle bus and same for the metro and tram stations. If we come back to Budapest we’d definitely stay here again.

Nothing really, we had a very comfortable stay. Our only comment would be about the balcony, there are a couple of broken chairs in the corner which need removed.

Excellent location. Sufficient facilities. Very easy access to the flat.

Although the tv offered many possibilities, couldn’t manage watching the National and/or International tv channels.

The location was perfect, minutes away from the high street, the St Stephen’s Basilica, the Opera and anything else worth seeing&visiting on the Peste side of the city. Anything you might need as tourist, there is a shop for it within a 100m. The sofa bed was very comfortable, the place can easily host 4 people. The kitchen was well equipped and the building and the street felt safe. We traveled with my sister and my niece, stayed for three nights but the place would be ideal if you are planning a longer trip as well. Before I forget, if you are visiting in a more favorable weather, the balcony is really fun to sit out on; with a view of the Basilica’s roof. The hosts, they were one of the nicest people I came across, they answered all my questions with a high level of patience :) helped us for every problem we had. They made sure our short trip started without a hitch. I cannot thank them enough, esp Norbi.

The apartment is in a great location close to everything. It is on the 7th floor and there is a lift. The checkin was seamless and no contact was required. The apartment is spacious and very well appointed. There is a lovely terrace which we could not use due to the rainy weather. There was an umbrella which was appreciated.

We really liked the apartment but the cleaning was well below expectations.Although the bedroom was clean, there were serious issues with the cleanliness of the kitchen, dishes and cutlery. There was food stuck to bowls and spoons. There were whole clumps which could not be missed. We had to soak them in hot water for a few hours and then wash them. The oven was completely unusable and I only wish that I had a look at it first. We had bought something that needed heating in the oven and had no choice. The whole bottom of the oven was covered with piles of burned food. I suspect that someone had used the rack to heat or bake and a lot of food had dropped at the bottom. There is no baking sheet and the roasting pan provided is burned and dirty so that may have contributed to the situation. There were really big piles of food stuck at the bottom. It took me hours ( including soaking) to scrub it out. The couch in the living room was not folded out or set up even though we had clearly stated that the booking was for 3 people. Given that we checked in late in the evening, I cannot understand why the staff were not able to clean and prepare the place. Another issue was the communication of the checkin instructions. The day before the travel I received the instructions with a message to save them and follow them. It turned out that they were completely useless as they did not contain the actual codes for the gate or the lockbox. The real instructions were received on the day of checkin after 3 pm. I was actually at the airport and did not expect new instructions as the previous message implied that it included the actual instructions. Luckily we were not going until late evening so it worked out.

The air conditioning was turned on before our arrival, which was very pleasant considering the hot weather. Fantastic communication with object owner, well-equipped apartment with beautiful views.

It is worth considering installing air conditioning in the bedroom, otherwise the door to the living room must be open all the time.

Communication with the host company was outstanding! They sent detailed info about the check-in procedure and the apartment use and sorted out every minor need during our stay, professionally and kindly. The apartment has fantastic value with all it offers, a great location close to everything and great comfort! We felt super safe living there. It is immaculately clean and newly furnished, with a full kitchen that has everything you might need. There is a big fridge, iron, shampoos, cleaning stuff and much more. The best feature is a big terrace overlooking the roofs and basilica of St.Istvan. It has an extendable roof that provides shade in the afternoon hours. AC and wifi work great. Yes, I definitely recommend it!

Wi-Fi worked very poorly and sometimes did not work at all. It was impossible to use the Internet.
