Luxury Room in the New Forest

A great room right up to the edge of the New Forest, close to Ashurst station and its scenic walks. It is hosted by a friendly and accommodating family who were always on hand to help, including letting me borrow their iron. It has a separate entrance and its own bathroom/shower room. Tea and coffee facilities are provided.

The locked door separating the guest room from the rest of the host's house is next to their stairs on the other side. Not a problem for me, but others might be put off by the fact that sound can pass fairly easily through that door.

Great location for Beaulie and plenty of pubs etc within walking distance. The room was lovely and great supply of tea and coffee.

Nothing negative.

Couldn’t work the tv

Loved the location, the small living attention to detail was great (small free hanging wardrobe, bathroom, coffee and tea facilities and wonderful welcome notes and magazines. Obvious that the owners take pride in this venture. Plus Mel was so helpful. Property accessible and private even though attached to the main house (separate entrance). Indian in Ashurst so friendly and access to New Forest, nothing better.

Unfortunately for me was just to amount of light in the morning coming through the door and sound from the road outside (maybe some people aren’t as sensitive to it as I am, nothing that a pair of earplugs and eye mask didn’t sort out, plus, too much to explore to stay in bed!)
