The bed was new and comfortable. The neighbours were very quiet and there are many places to eat close to the apartment.

The apartment is not suitable for a longer stay as the host is not prepared to receive the guest and the apartment has many drawbacks. Even though I paid more than 1.2k for my stay, there was no cleaning provided as the host said it is not a hotel. Also, I had to wash the towels and bedding myself but the washing liquid was left only for one time. Also, only one bag for trash was provided. There were only two toilet paper rolls provided and the host didn't respond to my inquiry to provide more toilet paper. In the soap tray in the bathroom there was water inside so the 'soap' ended quickly and I had to buy soap myself too. Not to mention there was no shower gel provided. Moreover, there was no water in the apartment two times and host didn't inform me about it. The electricity box in the apartment made crackling sounds regularly and the light in the bedroom was twitching often which made me feel unsafe. Other major drawbacks include: As the windows face the busiest street of Riga and there is no sound isolation, the apartment is so noisy it is not possible to sleep without ear plugs or talk on the phone with a window open; there are no black out curtains so the bedroom is full of light from the street during the night; the pillows were too thin so I had to put both of them in one pillowcase. The staircase of the building is very unpleasant and often smells bad. I would not recommend the apartment for a longer stay, however it may be acceptable for a weekend if there is nothing available in the city centre. But be vary of the too good references and the cost as it is not worth it.
