INThe only positive aspect of the experience was that the owner acknowledged his mistake and promptly provided a full refund, which we genuinely appreciated. It showed a sense of responsibility, even though the overall situation was disappointing.
The photos looked beautiful online, but when we arrived, the place completely shattered our expectations. We were extremely disappointed the actual appearance was nothing like the pictures. The rooms were uncomfortable and far from clean. The washroom door had three latches, none of which worked. There was a celebration happening near the property, which the owner, being a local, would have obviously known about in advance. He could have informed us earlier that it might cause disruptions or delays during check-in. However, he didn’t say anything. If he had informed us beforehand or suggested canceling and booking elsewhere, we would have changed our plans accordingly. The owner had earlier agreed to let us check out in the evening, and due to the ongoing celebration, we ended up doing a late check-in after confirming with him. However, when we raised concerns about all the issues, he suddenly claimed that our check-in time was in the morning — which made no sense. In the middle of the night, around 12 AM, we were forced to search for another accommodation and travel again, despite having already spent long hours on the road. This was a terrible and unexpected experience.
INININLike the name of the property it gives nostalgia and memories of the past Malabar era!! Property has a well and lush greenery surrounded. Abhimanyu and his cousin was super helpful! Great tym!!
INWe went there for a holiday. We wanted not eat anything outside and cook for ourselves. Every utensil needed for cooking was provided along with stove. Kitchen cum dining hall is spacious and good. It's away from traffic and peaceful. When we lost the route, hosts helped to get back and were waiting for us like a family. A refrigerator is there, which allowed us to store some vegetables we had taken. Washing machine provided helped to clean our soiled clothes. Abhimanyu was courteous and asked us to use consumables like coconuts if needed. There is a Well at property and my daughter enjoyed fetching water from that as it was new experience to her. There is a prayer place. I could meditate there on both days.
I cannot say I didn't like but things to improve are, 1. Drinking water is not addressed specifically. 2.Hot water geyser facility is not there. 3.Proper blankets are not there 4. There is no Television. I was not particular about it, but my 6 years old complained. 5. Towels provided by property were new but didn't serve the purpose. 6. We stayed for two days and in house cleaning was not done. 7.We were three and queens bed was not enough. So we were tired by morning due to insufficient sleep. Additional bed could have avoided this.
INWe liked the entire property it was beautiful. I would suggest friends and family.
No AC and WiFi. However this is going to be installed soon as informed by property owner
