Little House in the Big Woods

Charming, spacious Little House; a well appointed kitchenette with many smart sppliances and a four seat wooden dining table; a comfortable King size bed, stacked washer/dryer, space heater, and mini pellet fireplace are some of the amenities. It is located in the Big Woods, so first day arrival in daylight hours is recommended.

A charming, beautifully constructed and designed, well appointed with smart kitchen and living space gadgets Little House! Kelsey is a personable, professional, informative hostess and attentive to guest needs, especially at arrival. Kelsey has prepared an extensive handbook guide to familiarize guests with the Little House and its smart gadgets. A cozy, private, comfortable, relaxing stay experience. I would recommend to any guest unfamiliar with the area to arrive during daylight hours on the first night because it really is located in the Big Woods.

This little house exceeded the expectations and is even better than what was shown in pictures. I’ll start by saying that I love a story of resilience. You can read more about the owners’ losses in the Paradise fires when you book your stay here. Despite going through such a loss and this little home being an extension of their home and rented out for additional income, the home was built with so much care and attention. I have stayed in airbnbs or bookings where it’s evident leftover furniture and kitchen appliances/dishes were placed in the space. This place is the complete opposite of that. When you book your stay here, you’ll have great quality everything…from a large TV, expensive nespresso coffee machine, great appliances all around , quality mattress, beautiful coffee mugs, incredible BBQ with utensils, and so on. Everything is done with intention and care. When you stay here, you get to experience a stay of high value. Thank you for the wonderful stay! I’ll be back 😁.

I have nothing bad to add

Location and atmosphere, completely away from our daily life. We even didn't feel like turning on TV during our stay, although the thin LCD TV in the room seems very good. The room provides everything we need. The bad was very comfortable. I highly recommend this lovely cottage to people looking for something special.

Not really. One thing, our cell phone (T-Mobile) didn't work in the room, and we realized we didn't write down the WiFi password provided by the owner in advance (we should have imagined this, though). I recommend not to forget to have that handy before check-in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Kelsey and her husband seemed to have thought of everything to make a traveler comfortable and feel at home. We will definitely come back. They are exceptionally friendly and gracious hosts! 🤗

There really isn't anything we didn't like, except they need to have a hand rail in the shower. I am disabled and have balance difficulties. We suggested that to Kelsey and we're sure she will have them installed asap.

This lovingly remodeled cabin in the woods was amazing. What a gorgeous place! It is beautifully appointed with quality furnishings, including the mattress, for a pleasant sleep. Also, an awesome functional kitchen that including real dishes and silverware, cooking essentials and a nice dining area so you can prepare food and eat comfortably. Lovely tiled shower and very spacious living area. We highly recommend a stay here if you want to be closer to nature.

We would just recommend trying to arrive before dark as you are in a wooded area with limited lighting on the road, especially if you are older like we are (mid-60's).
