Casa vacanza al Duomo: Cefalù

Location is perfect, very close to the Chatedral and the beach. The apartmant is very nicely decorted, all new and cosy. Very clean and we had nice towels and toiletries. Comfortable bed and pillows. A bottle of water in the fridge was very nice when we arrived.

The building is very old and the stone stairs are worn and damaged so it was difficult to carry a large suitcase. There is a railing but right next to it is a dangerous piece of metal sticking. Plants with thorns are not a good idea on such a staircase! Woud advice to repair that. We had a problem with a smoke alarm that was making sharp sound without any smoke. We reported it to the owner and it was fixed during the day. Unfortunately, the next day it started again at 6 am. So we didn't sleep well two out of tree nights. No apologie from the owner. Also, the apartment is listed as 60m2 but is much smaller, 45m2 at most.

La ubicación

No tiene acceso con taxi hasta la puerta del edificio. Las escaleras para llegar al 1er piso, estado deplorable y falta de luces para el ingreso/egreso de noche. La alarma antihumo se activó espontáneamente sin causa , produciendo un silvido FUERTE cada MINUTO, que impidió descanso nocturno durante una noche. Hasta que fue un técnico al lugar recién al dia siguiente.

Lo único que nos gustó del alojamiento fue la ubicación, en el caso antiguo y al lado de la playa, aunque si vas con coche puede suponer un problema.

La casa dejaba mucho que desear, hay cosas que deberían cambiar, por lo menos si está a ese precio. El sofá estaba bastante sucio, el wifi iba regular, la cafetera italiana estaba tremendamente oxidada. Había cápsulas para la máquina de café pero que no servían porque eran para otro tipo de máquina. No había papel en la cocina. Llegamos a encontrar hasta hormigas en la cocina. El espacio del baño bastante pequeño, de hecho se sale todo el agua cuando te duchas. La casa en sí no está mal, pero creo que hay que cuidar estos detalles cuando se está pidiendo ese dinero. Como está claro que se va a acabar alquilando, se dejan de hacer las cosas bien.
