The flat at the crooked house

Quirky building that really suits its name. Location could not be anymore central. Lovely host and great instructions

Quite noisy as across from a bar with a lot of loud music, but does stop at midnight. Was quite cold, but was also odd weather conditions as well.

Friendly and helpful host who checked I was happy. The location is in central Ulverston which was ideal as I was attending a retreat at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre. Although there is little immediate parking, there are good parking places within a short walk. The one in Stockbridge lane is £1.10 for 24 hours car parking.

It was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday night- but that's due to being on the High Street which has many places for young people to go, and I wasn't here to party!! Ear plugs solved the problem for me!

Perfect

It was very cold outside, so the rooms were also cold, until we discovered a thermostat, which we made use of. The only minor problem we encountered.

The location was central to Ulverston which makes it perfect for exploring in the evenings. Rose was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole stay and beyond, especially as I left some personal items in the flat which she kindly posted back to me.

If I had a very minor criticism, a motion sensor light outside would be useful when arriving in the dark so that you can see the numbers clearly on the key safe.

Very nice, recently renovated to a very good standard. Welcoming tea , milk , biscuits very good! Fabulous location
