Do NOT—I repeat—DO NOT book this place!!! The so-called “agent” is hands down the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with. From the start, I just wanted to know the check-in process since it’s a homestay. Her answer? “Tak tahu”—as in, “don’t know.” No explanation, nothing. Then she casually tells me the room still needs to be cleaned at 12 pm, check-in is at 3 pm, and I have to be ON TIME—in the most condescending tone possible. I told her I couldn’t make it exactly at 3 pm and called to check. Instead of a “hello” or anything remotely polite, she picks up and goes, “Huh, what you want?”—I told her she should talk properly and have better customer service, and guess what? She shouted at me, saying, “Huh, so what? You want to report me? Report lah!” Excuse me? Is this how you treat paying customers? We’re paying RM200 a night, not staying for free! During our stay, my 70-year-old mother simply asked if there was gas for cooking. Her reply? “No gas, only induction cooker. If you want gas, go buy yourself.” Who talks like that to an elderly woman? Absolutely no manners, zero respect. I am utterly shocked and disgusted by this treatment. Sandakan has plenty of better places to stay—please, for your own sanity, go anywhere else but here.
