Misty Retreat (Pragati House)

The stay at the property was relaxing except for few things. House owner was cooperative and concerned. Assisted us in any help required. Early checkin was accepted by them which is great. Aunty herself made tea for us all as she had no staff.

Stay was good but felt it was overpriced. We arrived in last week of April which was actually a little off season to visit this type of place. It was extream hot days and night are comfortable. 1. The rooms did not has AC which actually needed especially for kids when they come after visiting a place. Hot air blow from fan is very uncomfortable. 2. One of the room which we booked did not had ceiling fan, however wall support side fan was available but not suitable for this room. 3. We stayed 2 nights in the following 4 rooms but no room cleaning was made during the stay due to lack of staff as he went to his native for vote and bla bla.. 4. First day breakfast had shortage, so we need to wait a couple of minutes for the uncle to bring breakfast for us from some hotel nearby. Second day we managed. 4. However the owner told that he has cook and servant but during my 2 night stay in the property, not a single staff/service available. My queation is then why should our family and kids suffer bexause of their unavailability afterall we paid total amount without any concession. So felt stay as a normal stay with just rooms and their amminities. 5.Bathrooms in all rooms, shower head not operational and clogged. No linen change for next day made. No bathroom towel/ shower towel provided. Bodywash was placed in one of the bathroom that too was expired. Moral is this Misty Retreat of Pragati house is an average homestay. I expected a lot for my first time trip with 3 families together but ce out to be a normal average homestay. Actually if i would have asked for extra service for the non availabilty of these above mentioned things then definately they would have provided some of them, but i didn't asked them thinking they are old and only 2 of them staying in that homestay, it would be difficult for them. So thinking out of courtisey, i didn't asked for anything rather i managed. So felt it was overpriced for the amount we paid.

We had complimentary breakfast on two days only. it was good. It was a pet friendly property and there is lot of space in the property for the pet. But room was a little smaller to accommodate the pet and two adults.

WiFi was not working in the room or common area unless we come to dining room on the ground floor. Network was also very weak in the area. Lot of stray dogs and pet dogs also to create nuisance by barking during the night.

Toilet could have been more cleaner.

House is located on the hill surrounded by greenery. It is a scenic beauty looking out from the terrace. Room size is good for a couple along with attached balcony. Food served was very nice. Owner is quite knowledgeable about the place and would suggest all the places that can be visited and will also help you plan your itinerary. We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to meet them again in our next visit.

Homestay was great and the neighbourhood as well. Had a early monring walk around the place and it was awesome. Peoperty owner Mr.Boppiah is great human who voluntarily helped from the day I booked the property till I checked out. Still having contact with him and he became as a family friend.

Uncle and Aunty are really nice hosts. The homecooked food is awesome. They guide us very well for planning our itenary. The stay is beautiful, off road and serene with spacious rooms and balcony.

Staff and owner behavior is very good.

Good hospitality and treated us like family members.... really we enjoyed the food 😋..
