The views were beautiful; great breeze from the East. Pleasant to watch all the kite boarders and windsurfers. We were on the island for an equestrian competition. The location of the house worked well for us, close proximity to Village de la Pointe where our athletes were staying.

Google Maps directions are WRONG! Takes you to a completely wrong (and sketchy looking) house nearby. Cleaning fee was exorbitant (€215 for use of 2 rooms). The caretaker, Melanie, who checked us in also made us take out all the trash ourselves, and scoffed at the kitchen even though I had tidied and loaded the dishwasher. What exactly is the cleaning fee for?? We were required to make a $500 security deposit in CASH upon arrival. Very odd. Of course that then required us to meet with Melanie at checkout to get the cash back, which was inconvenient. We also did not like that you had disclose how many rooms you were using (we only needed 2 out of the 4 bedrooms in the house) so they did not open up the other rooms. Cleaning fee was calculated based on number of rooms being used. Can only imagine what it would have been if we had utilized the entire house. Was probably an oversight on my part, but the house has no air conditioning. We were lucky to have mild weather, but I can imagine in summer would be very hot! We also felt slightly uncomfortable having to have all the windows and doors wide open for the breeze, not really knowing how safe the area was, we felt somewhat vulnerable. The caretaker, Melanie, was pleasant enough, but did not speak any English, so communication was challenging.
